Diane Rizzardo

REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST/ PILATES / PELVIC HEALTH/ ORTHOPEDICS/ FOUNDER

Diane is a Registered Physiotherapist and founder of Elevate Pilates & Physio. She sees a mixture of sport & orthopaedic patient’s as well as Clinical Pilates & Pelvic health patients. As a multi-sport athlete growing up and now a distance road and trail runner she understands how important sport and activity is in our overall health, both psychologically and physically and wants to help everyone stay active and injury free.

Diane has a Bachelors of Kinesiology and Masters of Physiotherapy Degree from UBC, and has completed additional training in STOTT Pilates, IMS/ FDN, Herman & Wallace, and is PHS Pelvic Health Continuing Education instructor.

Diane is accepting new and existing patients In-Clinic only at Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy Clinic in Burnaby.

Lauren Sutherland

REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST | PELVIC HEALTH

Lauren is the Founder of Core Connections Mobile Physiotherapy who provide our in-home services.

She is an avid health and fitness enthusiast and comes from a competitive sports background. She grew up playing a wide variety of sports and went on to compete as a lightweight rower on the varsity women’s rowing team at UBC. She has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from the University of British Columbia in addition to her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto.  Lauren founded Core Connection in 2019 after feeling frustrated by the gaps in the service model of traditional brick & mortar physiotherapy clinics. 

Lauren’s extensive post graduate training gives her specific expertise in chronic low back, hip and pelvic pain, pre and post natal rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. Her unique skill set allows her to treat you from a multi-dimensional, well-rounded and holistic approach. Lauren is a trauma informed practitioner and has experience working with individuals who have complex medical histories.

Lauren is an active member of the Victoria community. She participates in various recreational sports teams and sits on the board of the EO Vancouver Island Accelerator Program. She is also a former board member of the Victoria Chapter of the Women In Leadership Foundation.
